“Passing Ellenville” is a documentary film project that explores the lives of two transgender young people, James and Ashlee, living in Ellenville, New York, which is described by the filmmakers as “a small, economically-depressed town 90 miles north of New York City that time has passed by.”
Domus had the pleasure of having the film-makers Gene Fischer and Samuel Centore, along with James Rios (one of the subjects of the film), discussing the making of the documentary on October 15. James also shared his inspiring personal journey. What an amazing life-changing night! We are all so appreciative of them making time for us with their busy schedule. Thank you all who showed-up in support! Awareness is everything. Keep an eye out for this film! Huge Thanks to all again!
