The Perfect Bloody Mary!
okay, should we admit this? hmm, a few Mondays ago we treated ourselves to a late brunch at Clinton Bakery (you need to go late afternoon mid week unless you want to queue with 30 other people – not!) We ordered a bloody mary! omg! There is something so decadent and scandalous about having a bloody mary. Now every Monday is bloody mary Monday for us. We won’t go down alone! Try it! mmmmmm we know you want to.
oh yeah, Clinton Bakery is all it’s cracked up to be.
Clinton Bakery Bloody Marys
15oz of Sacramento Tomato Juice (or brand of your choice)
1 tablespoons prepared or fresh Horseradish
1 tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon of Tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1/3 teaspoon ground celery seed
4 stalks of celery
4 slices of lemons
1. In a pitcher, whisk together all ingredients except the vodka, celery and lemon.
2. Fill a 8-10oz glass with ice. Pour in 1 1/2oz of vodka and top with the tomato juice mixture. Use a celery stalk to stir and hook a slice of lemon onto the rim of the glass. Repeat with the remaining glasses. Cheers!
