ON THE BACK OF THE CARD:
Hank Wythenshawe Canadian Lynx is the proprietor of a most charming gift shop in town, called Trove. Packed to the hilt, it is a wonderland of colour and zazzle. But it is during moonlighting hours that his most important work is done. After flipping the sign on the door to ‘Please Visit Tomorrow’, Hank disappears up a narrow stairwell to the storeroom, and pulls a selection of packages down from the overhead shelves.
Several times each year, Hank travels from coast to coast in search of treasures for his shop. On these trips, he also purchases a few additional one-of-a-kind goodies for some of the one-of-a-kind folks in town, just so they know they are appreciated.
Every evening, he delights in choosing just the right gift for just the right person, and finds almost as much pleasure in selecting the ribbon and wrap from the myriad rolls running floor to ceiling on the opposite wall.
Still under cover of the collied night, Hank finally heads on his way, with satchel slung over his shoulder. Springing from fencepost to rooftop, he moves quickly to have the parcels delivered before dawn’s first light - sometimes to friends, sometimes to strangers - that they might unwrap a little gift of delight and joy. Isn’t it funny: the more you give, the more you have
